College of Nursing Alignment Plan Overview

For more than six decades, we have educated and mentored nurses, advanced practice registered nurses, nurse educators, nurse leaders, doctors of nursing practice, and nurse scientists who are making a difference in the health care of individuals in our region and beyond. We are proud of their practice, scholarship, service to their communities, and enduring Pirate Nurse pride. Our college is consistently honored with National League for Nursing Center of Excellence designations, and our innovative online offerings consistently earn us recognition among the top distance education programs in the country according to the U.S. News and World Report.

The College of Nursing’s faculty and staff are committed to academic excellence and to providing a quality learning environment for students. Our tradition of service learning, community engagement, leadership, and research contribute to our nursing excellence.
